Kids' Ministry
Our desire is to see children of all ages develop a love for Jesus, through faithful Bible teaching in age-appropriate contexts. We want to see children’s lives transformed through the gospel, to the glory of God, and equip them to serve Him in every area of their lives.
Parents with babies and toddlers can worship together in a dedicated space with audiovisual access to the service, while Kids’ Church serves children from preschool to Grade 7 with engaging teaching and faith-building activities.

We believe that children are a vital part of the Kingdom of God, and a special part of our church family here at Christ Church Hermanus.

On Sunday mornings, children sign in to get their name tags, then attend the first part of the church service with their parents.
During the collection, children will move to the Kids Ministry area for teaching and ministry geared to their developmental maturity.
Our current age-group classes are:

Baby and Toddler Facilities to Support Parents
There is a dedicated room with audio-visual support, where parents can follow the service together while toddlers play safely. This facility contains a dedicated, private space for moms who are nursing their babies.
Any of our Sunday Connect team will be happy to guide you to these facilities and help you feel at home!
Family-Friendly Small Groups
There are a number of small groups in our church, which children can attend with their parents. These range from a morning group for moms with little ones, to evening Bible studies where children and young teens have a separate programme or Bible study especially for them.

Holiday Club 2026
Since 2004, Christ Church Stellenbosch and Christ Church Hermanus have partnered together to run a winter Holiday Club.
Every year, a team of enthusiastic, gospel-hearted students arrive and share God’s Word with children from all over Hermanus.
In 2026, the Holiday Club ran from Monday 29 June to Friday 3 July.
Between 80 and 100 kids attended each day, hearing the gospel, and seeing the Bible come to life through drama, song and small group discussions.
